'Diamond Mind Live' Offers Easy, Free Intro to Imagine Sports Games

I’ve spent the last few posts talking about sim stats, so I’m going to shift gears a bit, this time giving an overview of Diamond Mind Live.  DML lets you play live virtual head-to-head baseball games, whether its against a human opponent or the dreaded computer.  Both options are free and it's a great way to get introduced to Imagine Sports' stable of games.

With DML you have complete and direct control over all aspects of your team, including in-game substitutions and tactical decisions like pitching around a particular player.  Head-to-head games can be played in one of over 100 different parks (including historically configured stadiums, such as 1949-1953 Yankee Stadium) and against historic teams (example: 19th Century All-Stars) or 2008 team lineups.  You can play exhibition games, or play in custom leagues that allow live games, and the pace of the game can go as fast or as slow as you’d like.  Seven-inning stretch optional. 

The game is incredibly easy to get set-up – you select your park, weather conditions, team names, era of influence and other factors – and when your opponent gives you the green light, you play ball!  Check out this short sample of how it DML looks in action. 

While this game requires you to register with your basic info, in the coming weeks, keep an eye out for a Guest Account version -- with no registration required.  This will give you an opportunity to invite friends to compete without the need to give a lot of info before playing.
